CANDIES & PRESERVED FRUITS SERIES

A 50 ml to 1,500 ml square PET jar with an 82 mm screw lid and a TPE sealing ring co-injected into the cap. Made for gummy and jelly candy, preserved fruit, dried mango and candied kernels: the clear body sells the colour before the label does, the wide mouth lets a scoop — or a hand — in and out without glueing itself shut, and the seal holds a −0.06 MPa vacuum so sugar stops drawing moisture and the pieces stay separate instead of fusing into one lump on the shelf.

Where this jar works best

Confectionery is the most honest test a container can get. Sugar is hygroscopic: it pulls water out of the air, and once the surface of a gummy or a preserved fruit goes tacky, the pieces weld together and the pack is unsellable — the customer sees one block, not a jar of candy. Everything that keeps that from happening sits in the closure, which is why this jar is built around an 82 mm lid with the gasket molded into it.

  • Gummy & jelly candy — 250–1,000 ml, the body carries the colour, no sleeve needed.
  • Preserved & dried fruit — mango, apricot, peach, raisins; the seal keeps the fruit soft, not wet.
  • Candied kernels — lotus seeds, winter melon, ginger; a scoop goes in without crushing the pieces.
  • Sugar-coated nuts & chocolate centres — 500 ml and up, with a printed band on the shoulder.
  • Pick & mix and gift packs — 50–250 ml, coloured lids, three or four sizes on one shelf.

Why the 82 mm mouth

Sticky goods are sold by weight, so the packer fills with a scoop and the customer takes out with a hand. A narrow neck means both operations scrape the thread, and scraped thread is where crystallised sugar builds up until the lid stops seating. 82 mm is wide enough to clear a scoop and a hand, small enough that the lid still reads as a lid, and it leaves a shoulder wide enough for a printed band — on a 1 L jar that matters more than another 50 ml of volume.

Why the ring is molded into the lid

A loose gasket in a confectionery line is a liability: syrup works its way behind it, crystallises, and glues the ring into its groove, so the next closure seals on sugar instead of on plastic. We co-inject the TPE ring into the PP lid in the same tool, so the two materials are welded and there is no gap for syrup to hide in. Every shift a jar is capped and held at −0.06 MPa for 30 seconds; a lid whose ring has hardened still screws down tight by hand, but it will not hold vacuum — and that is the failure a buyer only finds after the container has been on a humid shelf for three weeks.

Candy is judged twice: in the shop by whether the colour looks alive, and at home by whether the pieces still come out one at a time.

Customization

Capacity and shoulder shape are open — 50 ml to 1.5 L is what the molds cover today, and a new size is a tooling project rather than a catalogue change. Lid colour matched to your Pantone reference, body in clear or tinted PET, 1–4 colour printing on the lid, and a printed sleeve, shrink band or label applied before packing. For seasonal lines we hold the mold and change only the lid colour, which keeps the tooling cost off a short run.

Packing & shipping

60 pcs per carton, lids fitted so the ring is not distorted in transit, and the carton lined so the bodies do not rub. Carton size, pallet plan and container loading are confirmed against the exact size you order, and loading photos are sent before dispatch on every shipment.
